Tree Service Guide
How much does tree removal cost in Connecticut?
There is no flat rate. The price comes from the tree, what stands around it, and how hard it is to reach, and Jesse looks at all of that on the estimate.

Why does tree removal cost so much, or so little?
Two trees the same height can be very different jobs. One stands in an open yard with room to drop it. The other leans over the roof, with wires on one side and a pool on the other. The second one takes more rigging, more time, and often a crane, and the price follows.
Our crew is the same on every job: climbers, ground crew, and the gear to match the tree. What changes is how long they are there and what has to be set up.
What moves the price
Size comes first: a taller, thicker tree is more wood to cut, lower, and haul. Then access. A tree the truck can pull up next to is faster than one at the back of the yard behind a fence. Some trees have nowhere to fall and every section has to be lifted out by crane, which is the safest way and adds equipment and setup time.
Grinding the stump is a separate step, so it is priced as one. Chipping the brush and trucking the wood out is part of the job unless you want to keep the wood. Storm trees on a roof or across a driveway are their own case, because they have to be rigged so nothing shifts and they usually cannot wait.
How to get a real number
Jesse comes out, looks at the tree, and gives you a price on the spot. The estimate is free, and you have the number before any work starts. If you want a ballpark first, the online estimate tool gives you one from a few photos. It prices tree removal, trimming, and fallen trees.
If a climber can do it safely without the crane, Jesse tells you that. The price covers the cleanup. The crew cuts up the wood, chips the brush, and hauls it off, and the yard is clean when they leave.

Questions
Yes. Jesse comes out, looks at the tree, and gives you a price on the spot. No charge.
The stump stays unless you ask us to grind it. Grinding is its own step. Ask for it on the estimate and Jesse prices the whole job at once.
It adds equipment and setup, but it is also faster than taking the tree down piece by piece, and there is less chance of damage to what is underneath. On a tight lot it is often the only safe way. Jesse tells you on the estimate whether your tree needs it.
