Hydroseeding in Wallingford, CT
New lawns, bare spots, and slopes that need to hold. Often the last step after a tree removal or land clearing.

Freshly hydroseeded lawn on a Spinells job
What hydroseeding is
Seed, mulch, and fertilizer mixed with water and sprayed onto bare ground. The mulch holds the seed and the moisture in place, so it works on slopes and large areas where dry seed would wash out or blow away.
When we do it
After a land clearing, when a lot needs to turn into a lawn. After a tree removal or stump grinding, when there is a bare patch where the tree stood. On a new house lot that has never had grass. On a slope that keeps washing out. We do homes and commercial properties.
The ground gets graded and raked first. On a cleared lot the mini-excavator handles that. Then the mix goes down in one pass.
Pair it with the bigger job
Most of our hydroseeding goes on ground we just cleared or a spot where we just took a tree down. If that is your situation, start with the land clearing or tree removal page, or call and Jesse will price the whole thing together.

Questions
Seed shows in one to two weeks with regular watering. A lawn you can mow takes longer, depending on the weather and the time of year.
Yes. The mulch holds moisture but the seed still needs regular water until it is established. We tell you the schedule when the job is done.
It costs less than sod and holds better on slopes and big areas. Sod is faster if you need a finished lawn right away.
